Its a debit card

This is how Classic pays you, they "load" your card. You can use the card at any merchant that honors Maestro or ComData.

I sometimes use it at Walmart when I buy food for a trip. Its so fun to buy something and then get cash back.

Note there is a fee when it is used, so you"re kinda shooting yourself in the foot if you try and use it all the time. You can also use comdata checks. You activate a check as you need to. There is a fee for that too.

The best thing is to transfer several loads all at one time to your checking account and pay your normal credit card bills from that.  

I use an American Express card which pays me 5% for all fuel purchases in a yearly rebate. Last year I got over $400. This year should be even more since fuel has gone up so much. 

What does it mean when they pay for washes?

In case you are as naive as I was, the wash is for the trailer, not the truck. I thought, Oh, how nice they want my truck to look good with my magnetic "Classic Transport" signs maintaining a professional appearance.

Wrong, the wash reimbursement is really lunch money for the service department guys where you deliver!

It seems logical that before the dealer signs the bill of lading releasing you from responsibility for outside damage to the trailer, it should be nice and clean so they can see the damage.  In fact its a requirement to wash the trailer.

Its not always easy to find a wash that can handle a big trailer and it is a hassle with quarters, and the chance the pressure will blow the decals off, etc.

So as a service to the driver (thats you), the dealer usually will agree to wash the trailer for you, usually for around $20.00 C A S H. He will note it on your paperwork and you will be reimbursed. The humorous thing to me is that they will wash it AFTER you leave and AFTER they sign for it.

The above is how it usually happens, but not always. Some actually make you find a wash and do it yourself, some of the better dealers actually have a hose and soap and buckets, etc. and you can use them. This is the best of both worlds if you have the energy because you actually will make $20 profit on the deal, because they will note on the paperwork "washed by driver" and you will be reimbursed.
